1. Who will treat you at each visit?
At many clinics one person assesses you, another treats you and a third does your check-up. That can turn out fine, but details get lost along the way and you end up telling your story three times.
Ask whether you will always see the same professional, and whether whoever makes the diagnosis will be the one carrying out the treatment.
2. Which materials and brands are used?
A clinic that works with good materials has no problem telling you the brand of the implant, the composite, or the laboratory that makes its crowns.
With implants there is one detail almost nobody asks about and that matters a great deal: whether the prosthesis uses original components from the implant brand or compatible parts from another manufacturer.
3. Is the quote fixed and in writing?
A written quote, itemising what it includes, avoids the worst moment of any treatment: the surprise halfway through.
Ask as well what happens if something unexpected comes up, and whether that can change the figure.
4. How much time is given to your case?
Time is the part of the work that does not show up in the price, and it is where the difference lies between a treatment that is merely done and one that is properly finished: adjusting a crown, polishing a veneer or checking a bite takes patience.
A five-minute first visit rarely allows anyone to understand a whole case.
5. Can you see real reviews and cases?
Reviews with a name and detail are worth far more than an average score. Look for opinions that say which treatment was done and how the follow-up went.
If you see before-and-after photos, check whether the framing and lighting match in both. An ‘after’ photo taken with better lighting and grooming exaggerates the change: comparable close-ups are what really show the work.
6. What happens after the treatment?
Good treatment does not end the day you walk out of the clinic. Ask which check-ups are included, how often you should come back, and who you call if something bothers you on a Sunday.
